How to travel Vietnam before the registered date of arrival?
Hi,
I got your number on the website of Vietnam visa and I would like to ask you a quick question.
I have booked a visa on arrival with the date of arrival January 12th, 2019 but now I need to be in Hanoi earlier (on January 9th, 2019). I would like to know if it is possible to arrive before January 12th, 2019 or not?

Hello,
Thank you for your question regarding the Vietnam visa. As you applied for a visa on arrival with the date of entry January 12th, 2019 you can only travel Vietnam on/ after January 12th, 2019. In case you need to be in Hanoi earlier, you must apply for another visa to replace this one.
Sometime you may need the rush visa service that you could have enough time to print out the letter of approval and get on the plane. Please note that you are allowed to board the flight with a printed visa approval letter ready in hand only.
If you don’t have enough time to print out the letter of approval and the airlines allow you to get on board by showing the approval letter on your smartphone, you still need a printed approval letter at arrival airport. An electronic version of visa approval letter will NOT be accepted at visa counter here. However, you cannot find out any printer inside the immigration hall. In this case, you will need an extra service called visa ‘fast track service‘.
Once you order the fast track service, you will meet an agent waiting in front of the visa counter with printed visa approval letter. You just hand over your passport, photo and stamping fee then he will help you complete the visa stamp via a fast lane.
If you don’t bring a photo with, you will be charged 5 USD/ photo for visa.
