How to get visa on arrival and e-visa for Vietnam?

Both e-visa and visa on arrival (VOA) are expedited online and approved by the Vietnam Immigration Department before departure, the process of getting e-visa and visa on arrival are rather different.

As you know, visa on arrival is processed via a visa agency and approved by the Vietnam Immigration Department. The customers will receive a visa approval letter to get on the plane and pickup visa at arrival airport. The travelers have to pay 2 kinds of fee: processing fee for visa approval letter and the stamping fee at immigration counter at arrival airport. The visa on arrival is good for both tourist and business purposes which is classified into DL (tourist visa) or DN1 – DN2 (business visa), DH (student/internship visa), DT1 – DT2 – DT3 – DT4 (investor visa), LD1 – LD2 (working visa) or NG (diplomatic visa). Electronic visa (e-visa) is processed via a Vietnam visa agency or government’s website and approved by the Vietnam Immigration Department. The customers will receive a visa registration code and get a visa done within 5 working days.
