Vietnam visa requirement for the Monaco passports
The citizens of Monaco is not included in the visa exemption list; therefore, all Monaco travelers need to apply visa to Vietnam for either tourism or business purpose.
Vietnam visa is required for all Monaco citizens;
Monaco citizens are eligible for maximum 90 days single or multiple entry e-visa;
Monaco citizens can get visa on arrival with pre-arranged visa approval letter;
Monaco citizens can get a rush Vietnam visa in 4 working hours or 1 working day.
At present, there are 3 options for the Monaco citizens applying for Vietnam visa:
1. Apply for e-visa Vietnam
From August 15, 2023, all the nationalities including Monaco citizens are eligible for 90 days (single or multiple entry) e-visas for Vietnam.
In order to apply for Vietnam e-visa, the Monaco citizens need to prepare:
- Files of passport data page photo and passport-sized photo: The passport data page photo should show up 4 corners and borders of the main page in which all the information is displayed clearly without being flashed or obscured by fingers;
The passport-sized photo must be taken in recently 6 months with eyes open, straight look, without wearing hat or glasses and be taken on a white or light coloured plain background; - Credit card or debit card that are enabled to conduct online payment. You can also make a payment via PayPal when you apply for an e-visa on our website;
How to apply e-visa for Vietnam?
Step 1: Fill the requirement information in the application form.
Step 2: Pay the visa fee and get e-visa in maximum 3 – 5 working days.
Step 3: Receive an email containing e-visa upon successful application. Please print out the e-visa, bring along with your passport to get on the plane.
Step 4: Present your e-visa at the immigration counter to get entry into Vietnam.
How to apply for urgent e-visa for Vietnam in 1 working day or few hours?
Normally, it takes 3 – 5 working days to complete an e-visa and you will receive an email to inform you that the visa is completed. You just need to enter your visa application code, email and date of birth to download your e-visa file.
After downloading your e-visa, you please check the visa information against your passport carefully. Any of spelling mistake, typos, incorrect passport number, date of arrival, entry ports… will not be accepted and it matters as the airlines will NOT let you board the plane with a wrong e-visa. - If you have enough time, you should apply for a new e-visa immediately.
- If there are only a few hours to your flight check-in time you may need our urgent e-visa service.

Things you should notice on the Vietnam e-visa application
When applying for e-visa for Vietnam, please note that:
- When applying for Vietnam e-visa, the fee is paid to the Vietnam Immigration Department thus you don’t have to bring cash for stamping fee and the visa process at arrival airport is faster accordingly
- Payments for e-visa applications are non-refundable;
- The applicants should check the information on a granted e-visa against the passport to make sure there is no mistake;
- The processing time may take longer than 3 working days that probably affect to your flight time. You are strongly recommended to buy a flight ticket when you already received your e-visa;
- The applicants have to leave the country before applying for the next e-visa.
- While your visa application is being processed, you may receive a request for amending your visa information. In this case, the processing time will take more 3 – 5 working days after the revision is made. 2. Apply for Vietnam visa on arrival:
If it is inconvenient for you to visit the Vietnam Embassy in neighboring countries, you may select Vietnam visa on arrival to simplify your visa application process.
Visa on arrival is an alternative way to obtain a visa to Vietnam in addition to the traditional way of obtaining a visa at Vietnam Embassy or Consulates. 3. Apply for a visa at the Vietnam Embassy:
Since there is no representative office of Vietnam’s government in Monaco at present, the foreigners (including Monaco citizens and other nationalities residing in Monaco) are suggested to contact the nearest Vietnamese Embassy in neighboring countries: Switzerland, Italy and France to get pre-stamped visa.
