How should I fill the form if there is only year of birth?

I was born in 1954 however, there is only year of birth in my passport. How should I fill in the visa application form with date of birth information?

If there is only year of birth showing in you passport, you can put the date and month by January 1st. In this case, the date of birth you enter the form should be January 1st, 1954.
