Entry gates allows foreigners to enter Vietnam with e-visa

Electronic visa (e-visa) for Vietnam is new pilot visa form which has been official launched in February 2017.
At the first stage, 40 countries whose citizens are eligible for e-visa and then more 6 countries are added into the list in December 2017;
In February 2019, the Vietnam rolls out new phase of e-visa for visitors from 34 countries that brings the number of countries using Vietnam e-visa to 80 (see the list of 80 countries).

In February 2017, there are 28 entry gates that the travelers can arrive in Vietnam with e-visa including 8 airports, 13 borders gate on land and 7 sea ports.
In February 2019, more 5 border gates are added into the list, including:
1. Border gate Tay Trang in the northern mountainous province of Dien Bien;
2. Border gate Na Meo in the central province of Thanh Hoa;
3. Border gate La Lay in the central province of Quang Tri;
4. Duong Dong Seaport in the southern province of Kien Giang; and
5. Chan May Seaport in the central province of Thua Thien Hue will also allow immigration by e-visas.

By the year of 2022, there are total 37 ports of entry and exit, including 9 internation airports, 16 border gates on land and 12 sea ports.
